A diffused yet controlled lighting modifier
Softboxes with a difference! Although diffused light isn't focussed / directional, having a long, thin softbox gives you much less light spill on the narrow axis, providing more control of your lighting which can be further emphasised by adding a fabric grid.
Often used as rim lights to provide separation between your subject and the background.
These also work very well in a horizontal orientation as a key light, giving a beautiful wrap of light but falling off quickly on the vertical.

This unique strip softbox features a curved front panel for even light distribution and unique catchlights.
Our favourite use is as a kicker on beauty, portraits and 3/4 length fashion and glamour images. It gives a bit more space to shoot, and when used in a vertical orientation it gives a great curved catchlight to the bottom of the iris.
